Revision to ZeroLag MACD w/Colors

I've made some minor changes you might find useful.

  • Fixed ZeroLagEMA onbarclose = false problem.
  • Added ADXVMA filter
  • Added Threshold filter (price must cross zero + threshold to trigger)
  • Changed logic, will now plot "up" if MACD + Threshold > ADX
  • Added Acceleration logic, can now keep "ratio" of 12,26,9 but speed up proportionally if desired

There is a discussion here, and you can download here:

Typical acceleration amounts might be 1.5 for instance or 2.0. You can also decelerate it by using a number smaller than 1.

Trading,

If you set it back to CalcOnBar Close = True, I am betting it works.

I will work on a fix in a minute, should be easy.

After downloading the latest version, I still get only yellow dots at the zero line. I have double checked my downloaded version and am certain it is compiled properly. Anybody else? Neal

Trading, is that RSqueeze(BBSqueeze) a shared indicator for Ninja? I have been unable to find that, and wanted to see if it might be useful in my trading. Thanks, Neal

Neal,

Roonius RSqueeze:

Also the version on his website might be newer, not sure:

Trading,

I am at a loss as to why you are experiencing the issue. I've emailed you directly so we can troubleshoot.

Actually -- Neal & Trading:

I just had a thought. What size chart are you using ZerolagMACD on? Try using it on a range chart (say 4 or 6 range) or a small minute chart (say 3 minute), does the issue still persist?

If so, then Trading just follow up to me via email and we'll work on it.

HI Mike. Not sure where to post this question but I am trying a few of the comment areas. I am just wondering if any of your indicators are available in EasyLanguage?

Thanks

Hello anonymous,

Sorry, I only code in NinjaScript at the moment. The source is open if you wish to manually convert.

For MACD yellow dot fix:

Change the threshold to 0 instead of 0.1. Thanks to Roonius again for pointing this out, I knew it was simple...

Mike

Neal said...

Mike, I am applying MACD to a 3 range chart. The Threshold change made the difference. Thank you for looking into that for me, and thanks for the thoughtful discussion you are generating here. Neal

Neal said...

Mike, thanks for the location of the Squeeze indicator as well.

Make sure you are using v2.04 from this link and make sure you are saying "yes" to overwriting the ZeroLagMACD.cs and ADXVMA.cs file:
http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/vb/showthread.php?t=17343

Then make sure you set threshold to 0, not 0.1, if you are having yellow dot "issues".

I think that should do it.
